Fits 6F35 GEN1 2009-mid 13

This 6F35-A Shift Kit fits 2009 to 2013-1/2 Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Mazda vehicles equipped with a GEN1 6F35 automatic transmission. Common complaints with this transmission are 2-3 cut-loose, no reverse, TCC slip as well as various gear ratio and solenoid performance codes. This kit does not fit GEN2 units.

The shift complaints are often the result of wear at the solenoid pressure regulator valve bore. The purpose of the solenoid regulator valve is to limit the pressure going to the solenoids. The solenoid regulator valve spring is calibrated to prevent the solenoid feed pressure from exceeding a predetermined PSI, no matter what main line pressure is. This is necessary to prevent more fluid from being fed to the solenoids than they can effectively regulate and limit what max line pressure output is. If the pressure feeding the solenoids is too high or too low, their output will also be too high or too low. As a result, shift quality complaints and solenoid performance codes can occur along with low or high main line pressure.

Other complaints are TCC slip problem and related trouble codes, no reverse and 2-3 cut-loose. To address the TCC problems, a new TCC regulator valve is included that is fitted with a scarf cut sealing ring at one end which restores the valve function without reaming the bore. Quite often the D2 check ball blows through separator plate which ruins the plate and results in the no reverse as well as the 2-3 cut-loose conditions.

Features and benefits:

This TransGo Shift Kit includes a new drop-in solenoid pressure regulator valve system. The furnished bushing and solenoid regulator valve assembly will restore the system function using the existing worn bore. Similarly, the drop-in hardened steel TCC regulator valve has re-positioned longer lands and incorporates a groove where a scarf cut seal is fitted so that it seals in the original worn bore. Also, a drop-in two-piece design PR valve reduces sticking and restores the function and reliability of the pressure regulator system. In addition, this valve will not delaminate and create future bore wear problems like the OE coated valves do. The two-piece design valve out performs the single piece valve in all operating environments. Lastly, the kit includes an improved replacement valve body separator plate and gaskets.
