Early OE Honda 5-spool lockup shift valves can exhaust lube oil through the valve when in lockup, resulting in lube related issues. This Sonnax drop-in, updated lockup shift valve kit 98892-16K eliminates the exhaust circuit for lube oil at the lockup shift valve location (see illustration).
